Directing portfolio
As a filmmaker, my work explores the tension between silence and the search for truth. I direct with a poetic sensibility shaped by a deep fascination with the human condition, drawing on the idea of doubt as both a curse and a gateway to self-knowledge. My first documentary, Naw, captures fragments of real life with an observant, contemplative eye. My student fiction film, Silence, marked a step into narrative experimentation, playing with minimalism and emotional restraint. With my graduating film, Sabil, In the Silence of Love, I pushed further into spiritual and philosophical territory — blending symbolism, internal conflict, and visual metaphors to depict a character’s inward journey toward redemption. Across all my films, I seek a cinema that listens more than it speaks — one that opens space for reflection, mystery, and an authentic inner gaze.
Cinema
For me, cinema is not just about telling stories — it’s about searching for truth beneath the surface of things. I approach filmmaking as a space for reflection, where silence, doubt, and inner conflict become as important as action. Influenced by a poetic and philosophical vision, I am drawn to characters caught between worlds, moments suspended in time, and the invisible struggles that shape us. I believe in a cinema that listens, that questions, and that leaves room for mystery — a cinema where emotion, image, and meaning unfold quietly but powerfully.

(Short documentary)
During the winter season, within the picturesque port of Kelibia, a unique dynamic emerges among the sailors and port workers, despite the challenges posed by the global warming crisis and the harsh economic conditions they face. Conversations revolve around their daily struggles, aspirations, and their deep connection with their profession. Some admirably romanticize the sea, while others caution us about its perils and curses, highlighting its inherent dangers.
Silence !

Silence is a short comedy about a medical student trying to prepare for his exams in a noisy neighborhood. As he struggles to concentrate, he’s constantly interrupted by the chaotic sounds around him — a vegetable vendor shouting in the street, children playing, a woman cooking in the apartment next door, and a loud party happening right above him. The film humorously portrays the clash between personal focus and the unpredictability of everyday life.

Not everything has to be cinematic — sometimes, it’s just about having fun with lenses, original shots, and the energy of crazy, creative artists. These moments remind me why I love what I do.

This music video explores the emotional impact of divorce on a child, focusing on the pain of having to choose between parents. As the director, I crafted a cinematic narrative centered on a young boy caught in the middle of his parents' conflict. One night, after a heated argument, he runs away from home — an act that becomes the turning point in the story. His disappearance forces the parents to reflect, ultimately leading them to reconcile and reunite as a family. I developed the visual concept and emotional arc to mirror the song’s themes with depth and sensitivity.
